Thematic Continuing Medical Education (CME) Course

Thematic Continuing Medical Education (CME) Cycles

Thematic Continuing Medical Education (CME) cycles are designed to enhance professional knowledge and skills through participation in structured professional training programs aimed at updating existing competencies and acquiring new theoretical and practical knowledge.

CME cycles are conducted in response to the growing demands for higher qualification levels, the need to master modern and innovative methods for solving professional tasks, the formation and consolidation of professional knowledge, skills, and competencies acquired through theoretical preparation, the necessity to study international best practices, and the development of organizational abilities required for performing duties at the current or higher professional positions.

Participation in CME cycles requires the mandatory personal involvement of the healthcare professional at the training site and/or real-time remote participation via online learning platforms.

The programs of CME cycles are developed with consideration of international experience, modern standards and protocols of treatment, diagnosis, and disease prevention applied in developed countries, based on the principles of evidence-based medicine, and are aligned with the qualification requirements for healthcare professionals.

At the International European University (IEU), CME cycles are conducted with a duration of one to two weeks. A cycle is considered completed after the successful passing of the final examination according to the curriculum. Upon completion, participants receive 25 or 50 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points, depending on the duration of the program. Medical professionals who successfully complete the training and pass the examination are awarded an official certificate of completion.

CME cycles are conducted by leading specialists of the IEU’s academic departments with the participation of physicians from the IEU Clinical Alliance.

We employ innovative teaching methods during practical sessions, including situational analysis, mentorship, case-based learning, simulation technologies (including 3-D simulation), and interactive learning techniques that emphasize participant engagement and equality of opinions.

We also apply modern approaches to delivering lectures, such as discussion-based lectures, analysis of clinical cases, lectures with intentionally included errors, and press-conference-style lectures.

The practical components of the educational programs are organized in cooperation with the best clinical institutions of various ownership types at both national and international levels.
